Yoko Baum, a Japanese illustrator based in Portland, Oregon, boasts extensive experience in the industry. Armed with a BFA from art university, she dedicated several years to the children's books sector. Today, her passion lies in editorial, advertising, and publishing illustration. When not immersed in her craft, Yoko finds joy in cooking and baking for her sons, summer hikes, and occasional winter knitting, weaving nature's abundance into vibrant 2D visuals.

Primarily working as a digital artist in the editorial industry, I specialize in high-resolution raster images using Procreate and Adobe Photoshop, ensuring a unique, personal quality to each project. Although my focus is on raster-based projects, I can accommodate vector-based images and files upon request, offering versatility for packaging, and promotional materials.

Yoko's next goal as an illustrator
I'm excited to offer a wide range of illustration services, from chocolate label design (as a true chocolate lover!) to food packaging illustrations. My portfolio includes spot illustrations for cookbooks and food and lifestyle magazines, as well as larger projects like magazine covers and full-page spreads. I'm also eager to explore new creative projects, like illustrated deck of cards, jigsaw puzzles, and e-greeting cards for advertising campaigns. With a love for food and a passion for creativity, I aim to bring captivating artwork to life, helping products and publications truly stand out.
